In
supporting technology in the classroom and transitioning to student’s being
more familiar with technology as well this course offers that. The Teacher will now become familiar with one
of the major Online Learning Management Systems that is used in the Western
United States. This will offer a multi-
benefit. The first part will be the
classroom will become more digitized preparing the teacher for the type of
student learners who are already familiar with technology and knowing how to
use it. The second aspect students’ will
also become familiar with the 21st century classroom when they transition
out of higher grade education (7-12) and make that leap into college or trade
schools. As most Western United States
college use Canvas or a variation on an online LMS. The Teacher (learner) will learn how
integration works of other programs such as Google, Microsoft and cloud-based
systems such as Dropbox, OneDrive etc.
